Rope as a bumper for your boat
Why should you choose rope as a bumper for your boat? A rubber bumper is also an option. Below we give three reasons why our customers choose cable fendering.
Damping against impacts
Rope naturally has a certain degree of flexibility and elasticity. This can result in better shock absorption when docking, reducing the impact on the boat's hull. Compared to some hard rubber bumpers, rope may be better able to absorb the energy of a collision.
Flexibility and installation:
Rope is often more flexible and can be more easily conformed to irregular shapes and contours. Rubber must also be screwed down along the length and a cable fender can suffice with an edge on which it rests and tensioners.
Natural appearance:
Rope has a natural and organic appearance that fits well with maritime environments and traditional nautical applications. The use of natural materials such as rope can add a sense of authenticity and timelessness to the appearance of ships.
